David Machado, Northeast Region Coordinator

David grew up in Boy Scouts in Riverside, Rhode Island, earning Eagle Scout in 1972.

Shortly after receiving the Lord in 1979, Dave became involved in Royal Rangers at Trinity Assembly of God in Johnston RI., where he served as Senior Commander for 27 years. During this time he also served for seven years as the Rhode Island Sectional Commander.

In 2008, Dave began to serve as District Training Coordinator and Junior Leadership Development Academy Director for 7 years.  In 2011 he became the Assistant Regional Training Coordinator and in 2014 became the Regional Training Coordinator where he served until 2018 when he became the Southern New England District Director.  In all, David has been serving in Royal Rangers for 40 years.  At present, he is a Group Leader at Outpost 163, Faith Christian Center in Seekonk, MA.

In 2019, David was elected at National Council Vice-President and then reelected in 2021.

David is a graduate of Advanced National Academy as an Academy Instructor and has served on staff for many years at various camps, including WCO, JBEI and NRMC.

Married to Michele for 42 years, Dad to six amazing adult children, 2 daughters and 4 sons, 3 with Gold Medal of Achievement. He is also known as Papi to 14 wonderful grandchildren and hopeful for many more.

He began his employment as a machinist apprentice in 1976. 

David is co-owner of AMC Design and Manufacturing, in Cranston, RI where he has worked for 45 years. Providing quality and precision products to all customers has always been one of his guiding principles. David has helped to guide the company for 45 years through many changes in the business world.

Outside of work, David spends time mentoring young men. He also enjoys spending time with his family and many grandchildren and hunting when that can be fit into the schedule.
